I have tried a few other Targus and Belkin cases, and finally Belkin Smooth Bi-Fold Folio for New Apple iPad 3rd Generation is one that's currently on my new iPad. This classic Bi-Fold folio case is not fancy but functional.
* Lightweight and adds minimal bulk.
* Basic front and back protection. Each of the four corners have elastic, so the iPad can be slipped into to keep it securely in place. But Other cheap sleeve cases don't have that.
* It has a cut-out for rear camera.
* There is thick elastic strap to hold the case when the iPad is not in use.
* The iPad's sides are completely exposed while in the Folio.
* If your kids are really careless and drop the tablet from a building, the case does not protect it and you need to the Otterbox line on Amazon.
